New England Aero Services, Inc. was founded by William Simmons in 1991. Gerry Sykes, the current owner, also worked with Bill here at New England Aero Services in the 1990s. Gerry began his aircraft maintenance career in 1985 as an A-6 Intruder mechanic in the United States Navy. He was aboard the U.S.S. America, the U.S.S. Eisenhower and the U.S.S. Saratoga. Gerry was part of VA-34, The Blue Blasters Attack Squadron and was chosen for the Nuclear Weapons Loading team. In addition to the Navy, Gerry was also involved with the Air Force Reserve, the Navy Reserve, Air National Guard, and also manages and maintains a C-12U for the Army National Guard. His experience with Bombardier Aerospace, Jet Aviation, and Gama Aviation has strengthened his knowledge of all aspects of aviation maintenance and management.

We are part of an FAA Drug and Alcohol program which gives us the capability to service 135 aircraft in addition to piston aircraft. We have expanded our capabilities to include services at Bradley International Airport, and currently have a few corporate jet customers. NEAS has the capability to add customers along with AOG support.
